@Edent hydrogen card are an interesting one. I remember seeing the first hydrogen BMW in about 2001. My bus to work is sometime hydrogen, though more often just electric.
I've still not seen a hydrogen refuel station, and all our hydrogen is made from crude oil - clearly it's a very niche market with limited impact or potential -
@Edent We haven’t had anything genuinely new and interesting and “good” in the industry for a while (https://frabjousdei.net/post/182977984596/industry-malaise) but the only thing I turned out to be wrong about was deep learning. I’m using LLMs and training transformer models to help humans do meaningful tasks for my day job. It’s great, it’s exciting, the industry is moving so fast. There’s excitement and joy at the meetups. There’s absolutely a “there” there, and it’s the biggest change in the industry since mobile.
