The fact that we are going to war, and building bombs while the entire globe faces climate catastrophe after climate catastrophe
Our priorities remain a genocide, and building nuclear power plants not for people, but so billionaire pseudo-technologists can continue to openly commit fraud, or treason
And not only can we not vote ourselves out of this suicide pact
We have to pretend like we are making progress while we slowly drown, otherwise you are telling the truth, and that is not allowed

Accurate summation of the situation, i.e. nailed it.Our main voting issue is inflation and not the destruction of civilization and most life on Earth? Me me me and not us us us.

Inflation that isn't really even happening, and isn't even the fault of the Biden administration. The fact that this is even the conversation shows just how haywire the priorities have gone. That said, I really do hope everyone in this conversation is voting for Kamala Harris: some things are bad, but change is still very achievable under a Harris presidency, and I cannot say that about Trump and his facists, who crave more war and genocide and want even acknowledging Climate Change to be illegal.

@Raccoon @rayotron Do you know what quantitative easing means? We did a lot of that, especially after 2008.
Yes it is, and its a long trend from specific events where we made major changes in the way our economy works, formalizing financial markets
And Bush's war's in Iraq, where we were sending pallets of money, at least one vanished.
Additionally fake 'super' notes
All these specifically price gouging and more are contributing factors

Of course at the grocery store we can see inflation is real. I can see how one would think it's all price gouging because so much of it is.You make great points, she hacked you. At least I think you do because you know the subject better than I do.
Looking at this grim list of economic crisis I wonder if there is any way possible to eliminate money.

You say "eliminate money", and I want to point out, #UBI is gaining a lot of traction in a lot of discussion circles, especially after another wave of studies showed even more evidence that simply giving people money no questions asked is better for both the economy and the budget then creating elaborate (and expensive) systems to ration it out. They even found it doesn't even have to cover all expenses, just be significant income that wasn't there before.I would say that reducing people's dependence on the whims of the financial systems like that would be a critical step towards a society where money is at least less of a factor in people's daily lives.
(And, since the election is a few days away, I'm going to point out, Donald Trump and the people around him have basically put preventing UBI implementations up as a priority, while Kamala Harris has shown no serious opposition to the movement)
