Bam, screenshot stored, and run through OCR and AI analysis.
And even if *you* take every precaution to ensure it's turned off every time you reboot the computer, you're using full-disk encryption, no one else ever has physical access to your computer, etc etc... what about the person at the other end?

@mkj yes, I'm familiar with the threat model here. Making copies of written messages is not generally a crime. But recording phone calls without consent is, in some states. That's the part I'm highlighting. That risk would seem to fall on the windows user. So now using your own computer in the usual and expected way seems to have suddenly become a crime.
