Free and Open Source Software movements need better leaders. They will be drawn from communities, demographics, and perspectives that have historically been underrepresented in those movements.

@ben -- or we have to be patient while the ones we have learn how to resolve conflicts in public.

i've had conflicts myself and after a while i stopped calling them out because people seem only interested in demonizing people who lead.

and the people who want to take ownership of public stuff know how to provoke the crowd.

in a way that's what you're doing here, assuming the fault here is totally with the leader, not the way people listen.
