okay, here's a weird request: tell us about something supposedly boring that's actually pretty interesting
like, for example: we don't know a lot about database engineering, but when we started learning we found out really quickly that "sort things into boxes so the computer can filter through the list" ends up becoming a kind of applied philosophy - like, what *are* the boxes? like, if we want to organize our hoard of itch.io tabletop RPGs, what do we want to say about all of them? what would help us find games to play? like, getting to the point of deciding "yes, let's have a catalog of game systems, like Powered by the Apocalypse or Wretched & Alone or Microscope-or-hack-thereof" - I think the technical term is "schema design", correct me in the replies - is kinda fun and neat.
