“You are using an ad blocker.”
Yes, and the fact that you know I am is why I am using it in the first place.
-
@culturednyc I always block the "you are using an ad blocker" popup.
You have to be sure to get the whole overlay section though, not just the popup itself.
-
@nazokiyoubinbou Iʼd love to block the pop-up. How do you do it? @culturednyc
-
@culturednyc My blog detects if you are NOT using an ad blocker. And it says so. Thanks to the Wordpress-plugin made by https://stefanbohacek.com/project/detect-missing-adblocker-wordpress-plugin/

@rrustema @culturednyc Nice!

@rrustema @culturednyc @stefan
It would be worth adding to the warning.
Not using ad-blockers breaks the requirements for anti-hacking insurance.
There's an auction for as-space that takes place when you load a page. One of the customer traits that can be specified by the bidders is the version of the OS.
Un-patched machines will get ads that automatically re-direct to drive-by malware-installation sites.
Script-blockers are useful as well.
-
@BillySmith @rrustema @culturednyc That's the best part, you can fully customize the warning!
-
@stefan @BillySmith @culturednyc Am indeed planning to sign off the warning with a personalised greeting from me.
