The Helene recovery work in WNC refutes that, definitively. Everyone's first reaction was who needs what and how do we get it to them?
As soon as people in crisis get safe they turn around and start working to get other people safe. The Capitalists talk a lot about human nature. This impulse to care for eachother and share what we have, that is actual human nature.

@WNC_Wobbly its worse. There is an effect called "elite panic" where those with the most to lose DO react like they fear people do instead of altruistic and start hoarding resources under their trying to control.

@WNC_Wobbly the capitalists mistake their nature for general human behavior.
There are human beings, and then there are capitalists, and then fascists…
Listen when people tell you who they are: if a capitalist says humans are selfish and lazy… well… it’s always projection.

This reminds me of religious people saying that without belief in a god (and that god's requirements on how we live), we would all just rape and murder. And atheists are like "Wait, Wut?"
If you believe *your* human nature is to murder, *please* check yourself in, do not pass go.
