Wolfram Alpha sucks so hard now. it can't even handle rearranging basic formulae that I fed it without issue just a couple years back.

@gsuberland it has really gone down hill the past couple of years unfortunatly.

@puppygirlhornypost2 @XEJKnol from what I've heard they went all-in on LLMs for the more general query analysis side of things (since they offer data on all sorts of stuff, not just calculations) and I can only presume that it is tripping up the parsing stage and failing to forward the correct things to the mathematics engine.

@gsuberland @puppygirlhornypost2 this is probably it I had it crap out on me a couple of times when I used it to search for chemical/ drug properties. The same properties which where blocked by some LLM’s as they could be frug precursors.

@[email protected] @[email protected] i fucking hate the drug precursors shit. it's so fucking stupid, right you take these molecules that have a wide variety of applications and you just restrict it with a bunch of paperwork and associated cost.

@[email protected] @[email protected] meanwhile the people manufacturing drugs just find a new replacement that kills more people like

@puppygirlhornypost2 @XEJKnol legislators have so much to answer for in terms of the harm caused by incentivising substitution of novel synthetic cathinones

@[email protected] @[email protected] I mean harm reduction isn't their primary focus. it's just a guise.
