Not sure if I agree with @[email protected] silverblue setting Ptyxis as the default terminal in Fedora 41.
-
@[email protected] no neither of them support it lol. aight well that fixes it for me back to kitty+tmux like god intended because that's the most flexible for me.
-
@puppygirlhornypost2 @julia doesnt kitty itself already include a multiplexer?
-
@[email protected] the only thing i really need to fix is automatically shoving me into a tmux session on my computers. this is fine for my servers but when i want to ssh into a tmux session i have to ctrl b d (my zshrc will actually refuse to start tmux if term is set to tmux to prevent nested tmux so ssh'ing inside my laptop's default tmux session gives me a normal shell)
-
@[email protected] @[email protected] does it
-
@puppygirlhornypost2 @julia i think it does but im not 100% confident. havent used it in some months cause it was acting strange on openbsd

@[email protected] @[email protected] ok so the kitty session is just kinda cursed and i am horrified i think it's in some weird limbo. https://github.com/Raghav-rv28/kitty-sesh https://github.com/kovidgoyal/kitty/discussions/4048

@julia @puppygirlhornypost2 I think she means at the same time, side by side?

@[email protected] @[email protected] so for me i will just stick with using tmux within kitty even though this pisses off the lead maintainer. https://sw.kovidgoyal.net/kitty/faq/#i-am-using-tmux-and-have-a-problem "just don't use tmux then kitty does that for you" ok HOW? where are the docs for this
