For those of us who don't want to self-host a server, what are our options? Is there an easy-ish way to sync KeePass databases between all devices without having to run our own server? Is Proton Pass a viable option? -
@[email protected] syncthing is a good and easy way to sync things between devices

@[email protected] The repository says the Android app is going away soon.

I need passwords to sync between my phone and computers. -

@[email protected] @[email protected] waut wtf?
i use a fork, but idk how the discontinuation will affect it: https://github.com/Catfriend1/syncthing-android/issues/1149
you can also probably use syncthing in termux, but that comes with a higher learning curve -

Also, how does it work with devices that are not on simultaneously?
E.g.
a)I am sitting at home using my desktop, and I edit a password. My laptop is currently powered off in my backpack.
b)I power off my desktop, pick up my backpack and go to work.
c)When I get to work I turn my laptop on.
With Bitwarden, the changes I made to my password vault on my desktop will automatically sync to my laptop, because they were sent to the server before I turned my desktop off.
With Syncthing, will it sync at all? Do I need to have both devices powered on simultaneously for them to sync? Will the data first sync from my desktop to my phone and then from my phone to my laptop? -

@183231bcb I'm not running Nextcloud myself, and I use it for syncing my devices.

@[email protected] What provider to you use?
IIRC I signed up at use08.thegood.cloud (recommended by the NextCloud site) awhile back, and it worked for a few days before my account was abruptly deleted. Trying to log in now says the password is invalid. Yet the NextCloud site is still recommending that provider. -

@183231bcb Nextcloud, but not running it myself. There are plenty of providers out there: https://nextcloud.com/sign-up/

The sign-up page you just linked to recommends two providers (thegood.cloud and tab.digital). As mentioned, I already tried one of those providers and it deleted my account a few days after creation without explanation.
Which provider are you using? -
