It's not a competition on the fediverse, because no matter where you are, everyone wins.

I love supporting fellow #fediverse projects, and look forward to working with the Vidzy team on federation and potentially a universal API so clients will be interoperable with both Loops and Vidzy.

You should follow them, they need more visibility ️

@vidzy TBH, it would be magical if Vidzy and Loops joined forces as they seem to have backend skills and I have frontend/app skills.

I respect their decision either way, and if we can't work together, I will still pursue API compatibility so Vidzy users can use the Loops app!

That would be ideal for everyone, eh?

@dansup @vidzy For one, they have a Matrix space instead of Discord. So at least, they value their community, which is a good start.

@dansup @vidzy Good idea. Poor backend code quality and lack of essential features like OIDC login is another major blocker for getting our young community into Pixelfed or Loops. If that could be solved, that would be awesome!
