Jonathan V. Last reports on the war now breaking out between Steve Bannon and Elon Musk:
“'This thing of the H-1B visas, it’s about the entire immigration system is gamed by the tech overlords, they use it to their advantage, the people are furious,' Bannon said, noting that '76 percent of engineers working in Silicon Valley are non-Americans.'”

“'No blacks or Hispanics have any of these jobs or any access to these jobs,' Bannon said.
'Peter Thiel, David [Sacks], Elon Musk, are all white South Africans,' Bannon observed. 'He should go back to South Africa. Why do we have South Africans, the most racist people on earth, white South Africans, we have them making any comments at all on what goes on in the United States?'"

@wdlindsy agreeing with Steve Bannon is making me rather uncomfortable.

@wdlindsy Bannon says whatever will score points in the moment. This moment it's to point out the racism of his former friends that he was perfectly fine with 4 years ago.

@dan613 This is definitely worth pointing out. But given the resoluteness and solidarity of MAGA and its global reach, I'm all for listening to and ampilfiying any voice within the movement that is willing to speak out against other powerful voices inside the movement. It would be politically nonsensical to do otherwise, seems to me.

@ChristinWhite I hear you. I can say the same.

@das_menschy Yes. But perhaps not heartbreaking, when the person at whom he's aiming his critique is Elon Musk (and also Peter Thiel).
