I learnt a new Icelandic word today: harður diskur.

I guess the Icelanders didn't bother making a native compound word for it since hard disks are nearly obsolete anyway. You can tell by seeing how, when you google for harður diskur, Google offers only two suggestions, of which the first one is viðgerð harður diskur. :blobcatcoffee:

@riley Harðdiskur is also used, but rarely, as it probably rhymes with harðfiskur.

@alda Which, I suppose, is what a fisherperson calls it when they drill a round fissure into the ice over the sea, but then the water in it gets all harð and blocks access to the tasty fishies?
