WELLINGTON, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Kim Dotcom, who is facing criminal charges relating to the defunct file-sharing website Megaupload, will be extradited to the United States from New Zealand, the New Zealand justice minister said on Thursday.
German-born Dotcom, who has New Zealand residency, has been fighting extradition to the United States since 2012 following a FBI-ordered raid on his Auckland mansion.
Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith signed an extradition order for Dotcom, a spokesperson for the Minister of Justice said

FWIW, extraditing Melon to USA and putting Dotcom in charge of Xitter would be better for everybody.
Not much better, but distinctly better than the current status quo.

@toni His big conspiracy belongs to the same generation of Internet Centralisation Companies as Youtube and Facebook.
IIRC, all three were founded only months apart from each other.

@riley I had forgotten why and looked it up. He had several warez BBSs and recorded everyone‘s messages. He also worked with one of the worst anti-piracy lawyer in Germany.
