@wdlindsy
Trump wouldnโt have had a chance at the presidency in 2016 if not for Facebook. This is a really good reason to #BoycottMeta -

@Godfrey642 A resource I've found very useful, which someone here recommended to me, is Archive Today. The link is below. I often find articles that are paywalled are available for me to read there, since someone has added those articles' urls to this database, even very soon after an article has been published.

@wdlindsy it's the only way to shift away from the power of billionaires who sell their soul to whoever they think has their back. Democracy is dying and we need to fight back. This is a small step, but when everyone or at least a majority can make this step, it will hurt them. We have the power, it's just a matter of wanting to use it. And yes, some people need to sacrifice a lot to do that, it's not an easy step for everyone.

@karelbrits The problem is, it seems to me, that there's virtually no "pure" business or platform. That doesn't mean we shouldn't shun the must egregiously dangerous, but I think we could spend the rest of our lives trying to avoid entanglement with any less-than-ideal business or platform and still not have avoided all of them. I also respect individuals' decisions about these matters, since everyone walks in different shoes.
