A theme running through much testimony by eyewitnesses as Hitler's fascist movement rose to power in Germany was that the Nazis initially represented only a limited percentage of Germans.

I just don't think that we'll be able to begin effectively addressing the damage the Kremlin's hybrid warfare on American society has done until we begin to more vociferously acknowledge that it has happened and is happening. -

@GreenFire I don't see this as an either-or.

@wdlindsy @jstatepost and this week, I have been covered up in mundane chores and events, but I am still reading and thinking. Please don’t stop.

Nor do I. I see it as a more as in more pointing out that the Kremlin is ginning up more of the division in the U.S. and other countries than we acknowledge here in the USA.I was not critiquing your post though. I was just trying to bring more attention to the fact that the Kremlin's political technologists have done to our society. Perhaps it was out of place on your thread about evangelical churches and their political power in the U.S.

I’ll say it again: we have to figure out how to combat the disinfo machine or we’re doomed. The majority of us are literally voting for undoing thinking it will make us “great again” because they truly believe it will.

Part of my post was intended to say the world of my youth does not exist anymore?
That THIS is a cautionary tale
We all have a experience that as time separates us from its evolution, we miss and then reflect on it disappearance
The Hawaii of 1969 does not exist anymore
I have a 1acre parcel that is beautiful but also a volcano that reminds me of natures strength
We need to defend what we love
Age creates the memory of our success or failure
Young people need to see their future
AND ? -
@Arqtec Yes, I know. That's why I responsed by saying what I did. And your question about how young people can see their future is a very good one, it seems to me.

@Acronymesis Yes, I agree. As a retired educator, I can only say, like the proverbial broken record, Education, education, education.

@GreenFire Yes, I think it's very important to keep our eyes on how Putin deliberately divides us and provides disinformation to do so — especially as Tulsi Gabbard is offered a position in Trump's leadership team. I also think it's important that we ask why so many of us — white evangelicals as a big focus group and significant voting bloc — are susceptible to this disinformation and to being divided.

@MiriShuli @jstatepost Thank you. I appreciate the enouragement.

Actually....
A.I. is presenting a interesting attempt at intellectual longevity.
A Software application of our experiences and artificial intelligence that anticipates and follows a record of decision making ?
We live on and reflect to others thru a computer, no biology to get in the way.
Just circuit boards and cooling fans to stop us from BLOWING our minds
No more Doctor appt's, no more late to dinner, no more rush to the bathroom
Just electricity & a Switch ?
Good Night All ! -
@Arqtec Excellent commentary. You're right!
