Yes, do a bit of family history, and you'll almost certainly find a disturbing pattern from the 19th century back in time of married women dying young, often leaving young children, and their husband remarrying to give those children a mother — sometimes several times as more than one wife dies. As you say, this had much to do with the severe dangers of pregnancy and childbirth in many cases in the past.

@wdlindsy I think you will find that nearly every single woman who has died from malpractice or lack of care for abortion was a POC and thus did not 'qualify' as a human being to the doctors. Guaranteed. Racism kills.
