@[email protected] when I used to volunteer at cal academy I helped with the penguin feed, it's funny being on the consumer side of an industry I worked in for so long, in a lot of ways it's like selling food to restaurants, except in the ways it's not. they even bought some stuff from people I used to work with/for

@[email protected] a lot of the fish feed stuff comes from specific vendors but a lot of it does not and it's the same herring you would get in a restaurant (if restaurants actually served herring, which they do only rarely)

@[email protected] interesting that they don't mention brine shrimp or small invertebrates, we used to produce a lot of those in house for the smaller fish
