The introduction of all the characters was really well done.
We don’t get the long beauty/hero shots in the normal episodes, which is a shame. They were spectacular.

@ultranurd it would be amazing… as long as they keep AI and aspect ratio changes out of it.

@octothorpe I've avoided any fan upscales. I think they'd keep 4:3 framing since that's how it was filmed, but greater crimes have been committed.

@ultranurd I am constantly appalled by The Cosby Show and A Different World upscales on TVOne. They 16:9’d them so the framing is *horrible*. And the AI just brutally fucks every bit of text… even large text on important signage/shirts/etc.
In both of those shows, the details actually mattered as they had cultural significance. Words that were actually pretty clear in the original SD broadcast get slopped into oblivion.
I can’t imagine what AI would do to ‘alien face stuff’ on Star Trek.
