although I don't know the willingness to store accounts, since all are done through Auth0 so no credentials stored on OpenBenches' servers (I imagine it's quite the "burden" to deal with personal account info)

@alifeee maybe that was too dismissive. just a wee bit annoyed because I thought this would be fun and it's ended up being a pain in a couple of ways because the site is imo too "clever". I can't sign in with any of those so it will have to be anonymous, which is a bit of a shame. and I assumed that I could just set a location on a map, but that's not allowed, so now I have to find a way to manually geotag the photos I took.

Sorry about that. Wasn't my intention to exclude.
The reason behind the choice is that I don't want to store people's emails & passwords. Too much risk for users (and me!) if I screw up somehow.
I thought Auth0 or anon would give the widest range of choices.
I am trying to get Auth0 to support ActivityPub logins, but that seems like a struggle.
I will see if I can implement email based accounts if I have time.
Hope I haven't put you off from contributing.
