Do you know if there are labels like at bluesky as well, which I can use to show my pronouns directly under my username in every post (and see others as well)? -
@anoux Cool I didn't know bsky had that. No there is no specific function for that. You can put them in your display name if you want them to be displayed with every post.
Most just show them on their profile like you already do. -
@PaulaToThePeople Yeah I actually love bluesky for that (if you're over there as well, feel free to add me, same handle - I got an explanation post about it pinned).
I'm gonna go with displaying it in my name and in my profile for now until I figure out what I prefer -
@anoux @PaulaToThePeople There are some clients that do that if you have your pronouns in a field on your profile, but unfortunately it’s not something all clients do or support

@luce @PaulaToThePeople ah thanks for the info! I'm using moshidon because it felt the easiest to handle, but haven't seen any of these options sadly 🥲 maybe with meta&x-exit the clients will level up

@anoux @luce Well it should be a core Mastodon feature tbh. or actually a feature of ActivityPub (the protocol the whole Fediverse is based on).
Of course the apps would still have to implement it then too, but they wouldn't have to invent something themselves, but use what ActivityPub and Mastodon offer.
