(The server will run until at least March 2025.)

Hope most of you bot admins managed to migrate by now!
-
@stefan yep, already did!
-
@guigui Nice! Hope it went smooth for you!

I wrote about my own experience earlier. Happy to give folks who might need help with the process some pointers!
Migrating 50+ accounts across the fediverse | Stefan Bohacek
Moving more than 50 creative bots to my own server is not as hard as it sounds!

@stefan had to rewrite parts of the codebase to account for the switch from mastodon to gotosocial, but i had the code separated between the gameplay and the interfacing with mastodon already so i didn't have to rewrite everything
(so yeah, Feditris is now at @feditris, i don't know who to ask to update the botwiki page )

For folks who are still looking for a new server, here's a few options:

Tutorials, libraries, frameworks, and other resources for making bots for GNU Social networks, like Mastodon.

@guigui Yeah, sounds like the same problem I had, but I chose to be a bit lazy and just moved my bots to my personal server. Seems to be working out well though!
And coincidentally, I run that site, so I went ahead and updated the link!
The bot looks great on GTS, by the way!

@stefan thank you!!
-
@guigui My pleasure!

@stefan many of the ones I follow haven't yet migrated... But when they do, will they keep their audience?

@rebeccafinn Yes, Mastodon will automatically move all the followers!
Well, the process is not perfect.
Comparing @southpoleviews and @[email protected], the original account still has 321 followers
Sometimes it takes a bit longer for the migration to complete, some accounts/servers become dormant, and there's also a chance that the some followers might be blocking the server you're migrating to.
Oh the joys of decentralized social media!
