The botsin.space Mastodon server has been a huge part of the fediverse, and while it's sad it's being retired, I trust that the creative botmaking community will continue to thrive. RFF is entering maintenance/sunset mode. We've helped empower, amplify and motivate the music community within the Fediverse by celebrating artist consent and agency, direct support, and promoting quality sounds. If you've participated along the way, you can be proud of the gauntlet we've thrown down for community and vibes and the discovery, collaboration and support fomented. Pretty sad, but understandable in both cases. And a big reminder that when you care about something, you have to actively care for it and support it.
And it's not always just about money. Donate your time, spread the word. Don't take things for granted.

Sad to hear about Radio Free Fedi, as I was just about to start recommending it alongside Soma for my average internet radio enjoyer pals.
Hopefully it lives on in spirit, somehow.
