So I guess those people who were yelling at me last month that it was "legally impossible" for anyone other than Biden to be the Dem nominee and that the document I posted from the Secretaries of State about ballot deadlines was "disinformation" might have turned out to have been wrong.

@mattblaze The next time I see a Biden dead-ender admit on social media that they were mistaken, will be the first time.

@fivetonsflax @mattblaze Here, I’ll be your second: https://hachyderm.io/@inthehands/113007703909103844

@inthehands @mattblaze @kataclyst @mjibrower Bravo to all three of you (and to others who've chimed in as I’ve composed this).
For a while, I too figured the issue of Biden's incapacity was a ginned-up thing like Sen. Clinton's alleged health problems during her 2016 run. "Old man is old, film at 11.”
After the debate, although I began to prefer replacing him with Harris, I was still curious and uncertain. But when I put even the mildest pressure on the pro-Biden arguments — "Where can I read up on these state ballot deadlines?” for example — I got accused of bad faith, mocked, blocked, etc. I didn't like that, and I don't think I deserved it, which is why I remain slightly salty about that period of discourse.

@fivetonsflax @inthehands @mattblaze @mjibrower Still apoplectically mad and anguished about Gaza, though. No kumbaya from this quarter.

I do think the message got delivered: Gaza sank Biden. How much room any admin has to maneuver now (politically, diplomatically, logistically) I truly don’t know; the idea that the US has leverage to end the war unilaterally is pure fantasy. But I do hope to see the US using the tools it has much more aggressively now.
