Today was a bad day. Unexpected pain forced me to go to a specialist doctor. But: zero problems getting examined within 1 hour, without appointment. Pharmacy had the rather specific antibiotics and painkillers. Now hoping the pain and its root cause will disappear fast. Once again I am relieved to live in #Germany, where healthcare isnβt perfect but more than good enough. Total cost for me was 5β¬ copay for the antibiotics at the pharmacy. Everything else covered by my health insurance.

For my German followers: No, I donβt have private insurance, I am just ordinary Gesetzlich versichert (DAK). But over the years I have found really good doctors here in Munich that focus on health, not revenue. One of them openly refuses to accept patients with private health insurance. βThey can go to other doctors that happily take them and upsell useless, esoteric stuff. I am here to make normal people healthy.β is what he told me. Guess who told me which specialist doctors I should go to

@DiogoConstantino knowing what it is already helps a lot. Now hoping the antibiotics work fast. Weβll see. Iβm optimistic.
