@jwildeboer it's this concept that only those jobs that exist now are jobs worth fighting for.
It plays on existential Angst and therefore is great for politicians to signal how much they care for their constituents.
I wonder if they did the same for the people building steam boilers for locomotives or sails for tall ships. -

@pjakobs Not really comparable, IMHO. 20 years of wrong priorities and decisions by management leading to up to 30000 people losing their job while managers will get their bonus and packages and stockholders get their dividends is more a story of injustice, IMHO.
