Finally My little #RHEL 9 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) server now runs #Forgejo version 8.0 as #rootless container behind nginx and it can happily execute workflows with the forgejo-runner running as a *user* systemd service. #rootless FTW

@jwildeboer is #nginx running rootless as well?
If so: did you direct the privileged ports via firewall or did you lower the privileged port limit? And why do you sleep for 20 seconds?

@alexanderadam No, nginx runs as normal service.

@jwildeboer thank you for the fast response.
Are you planning to change that? If not: why not?How are you referring to the Forgejo instance?
Is its port just generally exposed on the host or can both applications access a common internal interface that's not exposed (or something else)? -

@alexanderadam Just standard stuff. Nginx acts as reverse proxy, forwarding traffic to the container. I have documented the steps at https://codeberg.org/jwildeboer/gists/src/branch/main/2024/20240623NginxContainers.md
