#Watching a Babylon 5 episode called Acts of Sacrifice (s02e12). For a series written in the 1990s, it's remarkably timely in its themes, and it uses them to show us different sides of its characters.

Finally, I'm starting to see why people rave about this series. Like all the 90s Star Trek, it takes a season just to find its feet, but it was worth pushing through.

@strypey Oh man, is this your first time watching?
My wife got me to watch it with her like two years ago, and I still think about it constantly. Some of the finest character development I’ve ever seen.

> Oh man, is this your first time watching?Kind of. I watched the first season or so a few years ago, and found it a bit... cheesy.
Also, the digital FX have not aged well. Even compared to the model work of 60s ST, let alone 90s ST. I found them distracting. I'd love to see them redone, so they do the show justice.
However, I've heard so many great things, I wanted to give it another go. I finally got back to it recently, starting from the first episode of season 2.
