imo I think they might integrate activitypub one day but as the same way they handle sms/rcs or apple web apps

like basic features could be implemented in activitypub, but it would work much better if you're within the apple ecosystem

@matlfb they were pushing all the for pay mastodon ios apps really hard for a while in the app store and even had an illustrated explainer about how mastodon works on the front of the explore page
