I wish Kobo would release an 8" color eReader. That's really the screen size sweet spot for me on an eReader...

(It would probably be ridiculously expensive though )

I love my (ancient) eink android. It has play store so I just use the Kobo app.

@linux_mclinuxface there probably is, but there are two additional factors:

- I like the UX of kobos a fair bit and I like keeping this particular type of device simple. They're also unlockable to a large extent so they can potentially outlive Kobo's support for them, which is imo a good compromise here.
- I also like the physical shape and layout of Kobo's larger eReaders, like the Forma I have now, with a side hand-grip and page buttons. This is the shape that got me using eReaders because it's more book like imo. I haven't really seen this design elsewhere much.

@megmac you have your reasons but it is really nice to be able to load books from Kindle for the odd title not available on Kobo.
