My Dutch husband and I were having a private conversation in English in the park and an old woman came up to us and snapped that in the Netherlands "we" speak Dutch. Mevrouw, tegen mijn eigen echtgenoot spreek ik Chinees als ik dat wil!
There was a very lost refugee in the park looking for the bus stop. It's a good thing he approached us and not her, she'd have been absolutely no help.
