it is slow, but it is not as slow as i expected. for an in-order core, the performance is quite good, actually.
within striking distance for single-core IPC verses qualcomm snapdragon 8cx gen3, which is *impressive*
unfortunately, the qualcomm part runs at almost 2.5x the clock speed of the spacemit x60

it also scores comparatively well with loongson 3a6000 (again only in a clock-for-clock comparison)
apple M series and AMD Zen 3 mop the floor with it though

all in all, fairly impressed with this SoC verses other risc-v SoCs i have in my collection (the milk-v pioneer featuring 64(!) alibaba t-head cores is still too slow)

it will be interesting to see if spacemit pursue an out-of-order speculative design, especially if they do that without licensing imgtec's and mips' patent pool first
