Menus like this really annoy me. If you scroll down the page, it completely disappears... If you scroll up again, it reappears. Who at Lush thought this was a good idea?

@andycarolan it looks buggy as heck on my phone.

@andycarolan A lot of UI design on the web, the people doing it need to be dragged out onto the street and beaten around the head with a halibut.

@shane Having just tried it on my iPhone and iPad, it at least appears to be consistently bad across devices lol

@andycarolan ha.
We built the same functionality for a client recently. The reasoning from design/UX teams was that it gives more real estate on mobile. I also thought it was odd but then started noticing it on various sites. There is a kind of method in the madness I think.
The Lush site is a bit slower with the transition though.

@lukeharby I can understand the argument for more real estate but the Lush one is a particularly bad implementation of it imo... I initially thought it was Safari, or an extension I was using, but no... it's bad on everything I tried.

@andycarolan In Firefox on my Mac the slightest movement hides the menu.
In Safari on my Mac something (maybe an extension) seems to nudge the page up so the menu disappears as soon as the page loads!

@barrysampson Exactly my experience on both browsers. I wondered if an extension or blocker in Safari was causing it, but it was much the same in Firefox.
