I just successfully shrank my Crocs one full size, as they were a little large.
-
@andycarolan That's pretty cool. I'll have to tell my wife about this as she has a pair she'd like to be a size or two smaller.
-
@andycarolan @CliffWade a little disappointed. For a brief moment there I thought you were a magician.
-
@xerge In Andy's defense here, he creates magic when it comes to his artwork! ðĪŠ
-
@CliffWade Tell her to only heat them for 2 mins at a time, let them cool, then try them on.
Also, heat as a pair to avoid uneven sizing. You don't want one Bigfoot

-
@CliffWade Haha, thank you! @xerge
-
@andycarolan That's very interesting. I'm curious how many sizes you can shrink a pair? I'd guess a couple of sizes max would be as much as you could shrink a pair.
-
@cliffwade Need to try this when I find a cute pair that I really want. Wonder how well this works as I wear a size 3 in Crocs.
-
@CliffWade Well, according to Reddit, people appeared to suggest 1-2 sizes as a realistic target.
-
@Bianca I imagine whatever size they are, it would just reduce them by a size or two.
BTW, I should mention that according to what I've read online, this generally only works on the classic crocs, not fur lined or ones with other materials.
Mine were a size 10, but are now effectively a size 9.
-
@andycarolan Yeah, that makes sense that it would likely only work on the classic Crocs due to not being able to shrink all that other stuff.
I definitely want to try this. Almost tempted to buy a pair that's one size too big. LOL
-
@CliffWade ROFL. In fairness, if you find a pair on sale that's up to two sizes too large that you can then shrink, you can end up with a bargain.
I'm going to keep an eye on the sale tab ROFL
Also, crocs seem to be infectious... my wife liked mine so much that she bought a pair for herself at the weekend... and now my son wants some (and a whole bunch of Jibbitz ROFL) @Bianca
-
@andycarolan They are indeed infectious. I had never owned a pair until a couple of years ago after my wife bought some. Now, I wear them all the time as house shoes as I have a pair with the cloth inside that are super comfortable.

@alexandra No, I used a little fan heater. There's guides all over the internet on how to shrink oversized crocs lol.
