@sarajw And... I've just cooked Pancakes (Ok, I cheated as I precooked and froze them the other day, but still lol)

I didn't think I would last all day without a nap, so I just had one... and it was everything I imagined it would be! 🥳!

@andycarolan I'm up to at least 3 times a week, sometimes more. Soon I'll be there, with you doing every afternoon! Are we getting old, or just wise?

@alexandra Something weird is going on with me at the moment. It might just be the change of routine over the summer holidays. Hopefully it will settle down when things return to ‘normal'

@andycarolan Oh, that's a little unsettling, all joking aside, I hope you figure it out. There's nothing worse that feeling out of sorts and not knowing why.

@alexandra @andycarolan If the day allows, it is not unusual for me to take a nap at some point after lunch. I have done that for as long as I can remember. I just feel so much better for having done so and can better cope with the rest of the day.

@ctt @andycarolan It's definitely a sound strategy I'm getting use to and enjoying myself. I think everyone should take an hour's afternoon siesta every day.

@alexandra @ctt Naps are the best!
I remembered that part of what may be making me tired during the summer are the occasional anti-histamine tablets. The brand I have now doesn’t make me drowsy as such, but I think there is a slight effect upon my awake-ness lol

@andycarolan Ah, yeah, I gave up the antihistamine I think, years ago, because I kept nodding off. I'm sure the pills are better. But I'd rather take my naps clear headed and because I want to just curl up in the middle of the afternoon for the fun of it.

@alexandra Most Antihistamines, even non drowsy ones make give me missing time lol. Allevia/Fexofenadine Hydrochloride generally doesn’t... at least not as intensely. @ctt

@andycarolan I guess it's better than the alternative depending on how bad summer allergies hit you.

@alexandra Tru dat!
I don't get it as bad as some people, but there are some periods when I am glad to take the tablets. I think I'm more sensitive to tree pollen and grasses than flowers per-se.

@andycarolan Yeah, I think we all have our achilles ankle when it comes to pollen, mine's ragweed and trees in spring. Strangely enough I haven't had it bad for quite a few years now.

@alexandra Maybe you've built up some kind of natural immunity to them
-
Alexandra :prami:replied to Andy Carolan :prami: last edited by
@andycarolan Quite possibly that would be nice.
