@mattl hello! huge fan of libre.fm and the entire ethos/vision behind it. i just created an account, and i plan on fully migrating to libre.fm from last.fm in time. in the meantime, i was wondering if there is any sort of "friend" or "follow" feature that i'm not aware of? and, if not, is something like this planned for the future?

@forrest yes you’re using the eventual outcome of that. Rather than add social features directly we started GNU social which is what Mastodon was originally based on.

unrelated second question: do you know how the last.fm connection works? is it supposed to sync new scrobbles in last.fm to libre.fm in real time? or is there a delay? i did sync my account but haven't seen any new tracks sync over (it's been several hours).

@forrest Yeah, it's basically instant when it's working.
https://www.last.fm/user/mattl will show some tracks I just listened to.
This is better handled via email.
