It's strictly for things like backing up and updating devices, it doesn't include any of iTunes' media functions. But I guess who in 2024 is using iTunes to play their media anyway

None of this ameliorates the broader problem, which is that I hate Windows and would prefer not to have to boot into it at all just to update my iPad. But look, I am just happy right now to have a fucking progress bar
