Listen to the ranter and play small sounds to give the illusion that they aren’t mutated.
Figure out when they are done ranting, display the last few sentences on screen. Play a little sound and present an unmute button for responding.
(I believe The IT Crowd already joked about this, but I’m kinda serious. The head writer turned out to be a psychotic knobhead sadly. Shows funny still. And we need an IT Anime!)
