Can anyone who is in the know with computer components tell me if a Ryzen R5 3600 and RTX 2080Ti are still good enough? :btr_ryo_lurk: I haven’t kept up with anything in 5 years.

@fujiwara What a steal :kannawow:

@fujiwara a 2080Ti is about the same performance as a 3070ti, may still be good enough although a RTX 4700 or 4800 or a RX 7900/7900 XTX will be better
Might want to upgrade the CPU to a Ryzen 5000 series

@sammycola RE4R ran perfectly fine, that’s what is confusing me. Granted I haven’t played it lately. I’ll probably tinker with it more and see if I cat get it running better…

@fujiwara Should be good for anything that aren't the highly unoptimised AAA games that came out in the past couple of years.
But even the 4090Ti can struggle with those, so is there really any difference?

@rgbunny I got super lucky on a pricing error :zerotwoevillaugh:

@fujiwara DRDR even recommends a 3600, so I'd wager it's just game being jank on linux

@chikorita157 I’ll have to keep my ear to ground for some deals :btr_ryo_lurk:

@rgbunny You’ve got a point, capcom has been pretty good with their PC ports lately but I mean… they have messed up before. It’s probably just Linux though.
-
@sammycola I refuse to believe that Linux would have an issue with a game! :TamakoLaugh:
