This is such utter nonsense, because it completely ignores the role the "allies" played in creating the Nazis (through debilitating war reparations imposed on Germany), their ignoring of the Holocaust, their development of the atomic bomb which threatens civilization to this day, the betrayal of the USSR, and the long series of war crimes and genocides perpetrated by the allies since WWII.
Fuck the Allies. The Holocaust didn't happen in a vacuum. Without them there would have been no Nazis to defeat.

WWII is often held up as a good example of unity against fascism. And it was. But not in the way that people usually think. That alliance against fascism was ugly as fuck. It was explicitly racist, explicitly sexist, at least antisemitic-adjacent, and, so anti-lgbtq that the concept was generally unknown. It committed its own war crimes. The alliance was ugly as fuck. Don't believe the Hollywood version that is still being generated. **And yet - I am still grateful the Allies won.** **If I were alive then I would be 110% pro Allies.** Do not believe people who refuse to stand together because today's alliance isn't morally good enough. Stand up to fascism today so that we have a chance to continue making moral progress tomorrow. #election2024 #history #democracy #fascism #voteblue #BlueWave2024 #harriswalz2024 #ww2

I suppose in that sense it's a perfect analogy for the Democrats. Trump is a friend of the Clintons from a Democratic family who used to be a Democrat himself. His rise to power is the result of generations of the Democrats serving the rich while ignoring the working class. And they think one presidential term of being union-friendly is going to fix that?

The way that these propagandists trap you is by getting you to ignore how we got to a given situation in the first place so that you will reward the monsters who put us there. Which only serves to guarantee it will happen again and again and again.
It's like Lucy promising to hold the ball for Charlie Brown. All he could think about was how great it would be to kick the ball, not the previous dozen times she had pulled it away and he'd ended up flat on his back.
Stop being Charlie Brown. Tell Lucy to go fuck herself.
