Here's some more previews and insights from the upcoming #faircamp release! \ʕ◕ᴥ◕\ʔ
- With 0.16.0, faircamp's interface will fully switch to the OKLCH color model (with an HSL fallback for older browsers), which will allow much more flexible and precise theming with predictable contrast ratios (aiding accessibility). This also unlocks colors outside of the sRGB spectrum, meaning your sites can be themed with much more intense colors. (Web devs, make sure to check out (OK)LCH, you will love it!)
- While I originally only started out on some theming adaptations out of necessity, it has actually turned into a deluxe feature addition - in the upcoming release you will be able to live-adjust _all_ color-related theming settings from the theming widget, including base theme and background alpha, and instead of 6 discrete base themes with fixed gray levels, you can then seamlessly slide through a spectrum from compressed/grayish to high dynamic/black-white themes.
I'm very thrilled for the release already (and a bit anxious because writing the release notes will be a daunting task given the scope of it ;)). As always, major shout-out to @nlnet, whose NGI0 grant allows me to fully dedicate this summer to working on faircamp in such extent, depth and detail - I couldn't be happier to be given this fantastic opportunity!
