Shoutout to Amazon for automatically updating my Kindle version of "Leviathan Wakes" -- which I purchased before the Expanse was a TV series -- to "Leviathan Wakes: Book 1 of the Expanse (Now a Prime Original series)"

@thibaultamartin Thanks for this! I'm adding it to a list of resources.
-
@canrith6696 Well hey, there's nothing better than analog
I do the same thing with my very favorite authors (James S.A. Corey, Adrian Tchaikovsky). -

@[email protected] obligatory mention of Calibre Web — you can trick your Kobo into pulling from your media server instead of the Kobo store

@ajswritesthings This is definitely on my radar! And the interface seems a lot more modern than Calibre.

@killyourfm Welcome to the Kobo life. The water’s lovely.

@DJDarren Thank you!

I feel like something is missing from the sleep screen on my Kobo…

This is neat! A stats screen for the book you're currently reading, and progress stats for your entire library. (It's showing ~4 hours because I've only had my Kobo for a couple of days).

@killyourfm I really really love my Kobo. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it.
-
@dm It seems better than my Kindle Paperwhite in every way, including responsiveness and wake time. The battery may end up being slightly inferior, but that's my only (minor) quibble.

@killyourfm are you finding the kobo to be faster than the Kindle. That’s my biggest issue with the Amazon devices, they are so damn slow.

@baltmatrix Yes, it's noticeably faster than my Kindle Paperwhite. It feels more responsive, and also wakes up from sleep instantly.

This is how fast the Kobo Libra Colour wakes from sleep. Lightning fast compared to Kindle.
