imo the comments scenario is ready to build against (that's what I focus on here) with the ability for custom podcast-specific objects/fields down the road, using the same federated channel.

@js The No Agenda podcast has an approximate audience of 900k (as per op3.dev). We have been publishing a root post in our social intera t tag since inception of the tag. Thousands of our listeners also have mastodon server accounts. If devs want to experiment it is a good test bed. I am happy to promote any work that includes comments on the show.
You can see comments on all episodes here:

@adam yea that's great! now to encourage other self-hosters to do the same!
ideally podcast hosting companies would make this simple to do, ie part of the set of services that makes their paid feature set compelling

@adam you know, I think in the case of this tag it's going to be an app that really does a great job and takes some initiative here that pulls other apps into seeing what's possible
ultimately has to be something they're excited about

@js The more apps interconnect in this manner, the stronger draw they all become. Ratings, reviews, likes and so much more become a discovery mechanism far more powerful than the silos. Including existing review sites, who could in turn federate with the apps I presume.
"Rate and review the episode" will become powerful calls to action.

@js Unsure if this is helpful to devs, but I've tried several activity pub web interfaces that provide seamless sign-in to an existing server. The code may be useful
