Apparently electric stoves are the norm in a lot of countries, I'm envious, with the price of electricity in here having an electric stove is prohibitively expensive.

I'm finding conflicting information on the internet but apparently the price is 16.8 cents per kWh, the USA is a first world country and pays 23 cents per kWh, it's not that big of a difference but the average American makes $5K a month while the average Dominican makes $536.96

@maxalmonte14 Here I pay less than that — CAD 0.12 per kWh off peak, CAD 0.18 per kWh during peak (US$0.09 and US$0.13)

@grmpyprogrammer @maxalmonte14 Similar in BC. Nearly 11 cents for the first 675 kWh then 14 cents.
Again, BC is primarily hydroelectricity power thanks to the mountains. I wonder how that will be impacted by climate change as we have longer droughts and smaller snowpacks each year.
