In an interview Maxine Waters erroneously blames Black men for Harris' loss and flat out lies claiming Black men voted similarly to Hispanics. This is extremely and patently FALSE.
This type of gender wars bs is not ok, its a concerted effort to divide Black people and it will not work.

I looked at the demographics yesterday. Even when they broke it down by age group, less than 20% of black people voted for Donald Trump. If straight white males had not shown up in the numbers they did, they would have easily handed it to her.Saying that black people are somehow obligated to vote for you is absurd.
What exit polls showed was that the majority of Trump supporters were concerned about the economy, and we're willing to vote for him even though most of them didn't like the things he said about minorities.
The Democrats lost because they failed to contrast the great economic metrics of 2023 and 2024, along with their focus on working class issues, with the economic disasters of 2019 and 2020, and the clear focus on upper-class wallets.
I wrote a whole list of reasons the other day which I would blame for their loss: the idea of blaming black people or women or any other marginalized group seems insane to me when we were simply out voted by straight white males.

But even further than that, let's be clear about some things: Donald Trump had several other billionaires behind him, who clearly want to destroy our democracy to give themselves more power. They were very clearly buying up the mainstream media before the election, and very clearly using it to influence the information put in front of people.The main failure was that of Trump voters to recognize this kind of threat, not bothering to check this claim that Republicans keep making, falsely, that they will be better for the economy, and not understanding the gravity of how many Republicans were coming out against him.
