@liaizon @FediverseSymbol If I might recommend something: I like to add a `.` or `;` before my text substitution strings on macOS.
That way, typing a string — especially one like `***` that could conceivably be used to convey a filled password field or whatever — doesn’t unexpectedly trigger the substitution when I’m trying to do something critical.

@boogah @FediverseSymbol personally I dont use *** for anything so it works well for me but I can imagine .*** would be good for someone who needs to type *** on a regular basis
