This on top of allowing misogyny / women being seen as 'chattels' and of course hate against black / brown people.

To the extent that non-trans folks are taken aback about any of this,
that is EXACTLY how much of your allyship you need to repair.
Not listening to the warnings of trans people who see what's a bit further down the road from you is a strategic mistake, and it's based on all of our training to dismiss trans voices as erratic and oversensitive.
