There's not so much a 'what took you so long' about leaving Facebook/Instagram. I understand the lock-in there.

But there's definitely a 'what took you so long' when it comes to fediverse administrators. The 'wait and see' approach is now fully in the 'see' phase and it's instructive how many are like, "Well.... it's bad, sure, but.... they might not be too bad to us, personally...." and how many are like, "OH HELL NO."

Very instructive.
