Greg Sargent with New Republic has a pretty good story about bogus biased GOP Red Wave polling. Only quibble is that the title should be:

you can argue that polls are used to suppress the #democrats vote

there's this awful dichotomy where #GOP ignorants and indecents see close polls and go "#TRUMP WILL WIN!" while anyone with a conscience and care go "society is rotting, i give up"

i'll leave the psychoanalysis of that to someone else

but i'll note i think the polls are setting up something different:

denial of a #harris win

"but the polls!": lies and manipulation

and then the violence

I keep getting that line from Alfred in "The Dark Knight" going through my head when I think about this and Trump supporters' thought processes.

I keep hearing this in my head and it's more alarming by the day: “Some men aren’t looking for anything logical, like money. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.”
