You know when threads started as P92 there was a reason why so many of us stated we didn't want our instances to federate with threads.
This was the reason for the #fedipact and so many individual users asked our instance owners to consider joining or at least to not federate.
Power reveals. Mark Zuckerberg has always shown us who he is. He's continuing to put his misinformation infrastructure to use.

@onepict it has always been so. To be honest, can there really be anyone on planet earth who would trust this guy?
Zuck definitely has the vibe of a kid who got his can of lynx deodorant nicked off him at school and now it’s time for payback. -

@inpc well there were a bunch of admins that met with the Threads Devs, under NDAs.
I don't know if that was trust or greed, or both.

i'll bet anything that most f users haven't paused a moment, haven't given a second thought before giving f access to their contacts on a phone. i don't judge, it's just the way people are these days, unfortunately
more, much more education and sensibilization is required. bigtech is a menace that has to be recognised early in life. at school, ideally?

@tivasyk It's just out of the playbook. Persuade folks to find their friends by uploading their address book. Requiring a phone number.
Manufactured consent for growth.
But education is needed not just for school, but for our legislative bodies.
